Hi
everyone! I'm Carolina from Mexico and I'll write about my experience in
Toronto.
First of
all it was the first time I have traveled by myself, at the beginning it was
difficult because I didn't know anybody, and it was hard to get used to a
different city, culture, people and the language. But while the time passed I
could see everything in a better way. I happily realized that my
trip was a blessing in disguise, because I have met a lot of people from
different countries and that's fantastic! I have never thought that I'd live an
experience like this one.
I boldly
decided to come here by myself because I wanted to learn more than just the
language. When you live alone you can see all he tings that others make for
you, for example my mother used to do my laundry, my food and she helped me in
all that I needed. But suddenly I realized that I had to make all by
myself. I reluctantly started to do my laundry, wash my dishes, take the
TTC because here I don't have a car, and also it's something that I
really miss. The most I missed is my family, but I have to put everything in a
balance, because I left a lot of things in my country and for that I have
to take advantage of this huge opportunity.
But changing a little bit the topic, I'm going to talk about some
places I went and I loved it! I seriously enjoy visiting museums. I already went to the Art Gallery of
Ontario, it was an amazing experience if you are interested in art (obviously)
you should go there. What happened if I don't want to pay? Maybe that question
comes to your mind...actually you can go for free! Yes you read well, on
Wednesday after 6pm you don't have to pay, so there are no excuses!
I have
another option for those women who love shoes (like me) I enthusiastically
recommend The Bata Shoe Museum. You can find a lot of history there, the Museum
shows the living habits, the culture and the customs of people, and an
international collection of over 13,000 items that belong to 4,500 years of
history. So i invite you to come if you want to discovered more thing about the Shoes history. It is fascinating for me to increase my knowledge about this topic.
It was my pleasure shared with you my experience in Toronto until
now; I hope you enjoyed reading it.
